Our Atmosphere
We can guarantee two things when you attend an Eagle’s Nest Church worship service…you will hear the Gospel, and you won’t be bored!
Our people are friendly and welcoming; our services are energetic and transformational. The typical service lasts about an hour and a half. You will experience worship music, video presentations, prayer, practical and biblical teaching sprinkled with light-heartedness and gravitas. The dress is mostly business casual, but feel free to come as you are.
When you look around you’ll see married couples, singles, young people, older people, professionals, laborers, working moms and stay-at-home moms. Each has a unique life story, just like you do. No matter where you are on your spiritual journey, you’re welcome to come and experience what God is doing at The Nest!
Our Music
Our music is lively and upbeat. We clap, we sing, some of us even raise our hands. Our worship team is comprised of a worship leader and a live band. The sound is contemporary with an “urban” influence. Our songs and media are all part of a worship experience that is designed to draw you closer to God. In our music we strive to be relevant to the culture while remaining true to the Bible.
Our Preaching
The preaching and teaching at Eagle’s Nest is simple enough to understand, yet powerful enough to change lives. Whether you are new to the church scene, have church experience, or if you’re a Bible scholar, you will be enlightened and challenged by the Word of God at The Nest.
Our presentation style is mostly expositional- that is, we start with a passage of Scripture and then study the grammar, the context, and the historical setting of that passage in order to understand the author’s intent. Our goal is to make the passage clear and understandable, verse by verse. However, we do occasionally preach topical messages.
We enjoy delving into the Scriptures and letting God speak to us through His Word. Thus, we prefer substance over style. The goal of our preaching team is simple; to glorify God, and to transform how you think, and how you live.
Our Giving
We believe that when we give our time, talents, and treasures to the Lord - it is Worship! Therefore, we celebrate generosity! We don’t get uptight about money because we understand that God owns it all (Psalm 24:1) and we are managers of His resources. Money is just a tool to help further God’s Kingdom.
To that end, our offering time is very celebrative. We get excited about giving to God’s work! We encourage the principle of honoring God with our tithes and offerings but we don’t brow-beat people about money. We understand that God loves a cheerful giver!
Our Invitation
At Eagle’s Nest we boldly invite people to be followers of Christ. After hearing the Word, some people commit their life to Christ for the first time. Others re-dedicate their life. Many decide to make The Nest their church home, and some are simply challenged in the way they think or live.
There are various ways to let us know about a decision you’ve made spiritually. You can come forward during an invitation from one of our speakers. You can fill out a comment card. You can briefly meet with a follow-up team member for prayer, or contact us online. Our job is to help encourage, equip, and empower you in your new life in Christ.
